Surrounded by her family, Diane Adams, age 70, passed away peacefully on Jan. 23, 2024, after a short courageous battle with cancer. Diane was born on Nov. 9, 1953, in Scranton, Pa. to the late Michael and Eleanor (Korona) Lisiak. She graduated from Lakeland High School where she was an all-star on the basketball team.
Diane was employed by Gino J. Merli Veterans Center for 23 years as a CNA. After retiring, Diane's dream was to work with hospice patients. She went to work for the VNA hospice unit. Diane enjoyed all sports and spent time as a track and field coach at Lakeland High School. Diane adopted a highway on Green Grove Road in Scott Twp. near her home and was on the election committee in Justus.
Diane is preceded in death by her loving husband, Steven Adams. Steve was an amazing husband, stepfather, grandfather and friend who loved Diane more than anything. She is survived by her daughters, Kelly Smith (Jim Rogari) of Mayfield, Heather McGonigle (Michael) of Parker, Colo., and Leah Rosenkrans (David) of Scott Twp; seven grandchildren, Tony, Madison, Chase, Ava, Ella, Liam and Eliana. Diane is also survived by her brother, Michael Lisiak Jr. (RoseAnn); sister, Arlene Bednash; and many nieces and nephews.
Diane will always be remembered for living her life with the purpose of caring for her family. Her greatest source of happiness was time spent with her beloved grandchildren, playing games, coloring, talking to them about their numerous sports and attending all of their games. She loved watching them grow up. She was a special grandmother who adapted to all of her grandchildren's personalities and loved them more than anything. Her daughters made her so proud to be a mom. She never missed a day talking and laughing with them and catching up on their days.
Diane had the biggest heart and will be missed and remembered for the many lives she touched.
