Dolores E. Gergats

Dolores E. Gergats of Dickson City died Monday morning at Regional Hospital of Scranton. Her husband, Walter Gergats, died, June 30, 1982.

Born in Dickson City, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Zenty Moskalczyk and was a member of St. Mary's Visitation Church, Dickson City. She was a graduate of Dickson City High School and was employed as a supervisor by Beecham Corp., N.J., Jersey and Supermarket Services, Dunmore, and retired from Cinram Corp., Olyphant.

She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister who enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was a kind-hearted person who would do anything for anyone in need. She will be missed by her family and everyone who knew her.

Surviving are a daughter, Karen Mancuso and husband, Steven, Dickson City; five grandchildren, Steven Mancuso and wife, Amy, Dunmore; Amy Sue Gergats, Throop; Eric Mancuso, Dickson City; Walter Gergats, Throop; and Christopher Gergats, Olyphant; three great-grandchildren, Ireland Backus; Kylee and Anthony Mancuso; two sisters, Alma Malchak, Dickson City; and Ruth Nattras and husband, Charles, Dickson City; a brother, William Moskalczyk and wife, Ann, Throop; nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Walter R. Gergats; and a niece, Debbie Wallo.

The funeral will be Wednesday at 9 a.m., from the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home Inc. 601 Dundaff St., Dickson City, with Mass at 9:30 in St. Mary's Visitation Church. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Dickson City.
