Erma Marie (Lepri) Durko, 80, of Monroe Twp., died Saturday, March 30, at her home.
Born in Jessup, Pa., Mrs. Durko lived there before moving to Monroe Twp. in 1969. She was a resident of the Ponds at Clearbrook community since 1997.
She was last employed as the activity coordinator at the Chelsea at Monroe and previously as assistant manager at the Brown Bag store in Monroe Twp.
Mrs. Durko enjoyed writing letters and cards to her family and friends, spending time with her friends at the Ponds and especially loved her time with her grandchildren.
She was a member of the Holy Trinity Rosary Society, the Italian-American Club and the Red Hat Society.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph S. Durko Sr., in 1998; and her three brothers, Edward, Elmer and Frank.
Surviving are her children, Joseph Jr. and his wife, Sandra, of Knoxville, Tenn.; Paul and his wife, Rachel, of Knoxville, Tenn.; Mary Lewis and her husband, Cully, of Plant City, Fla.; and Carol Duffy and her husband, Tom, of Monroe Twp.; her seven grandchildren, Kyra, Stephen, Justin and London Durko; and William Demarest III and his wife, Leah; Cecelia Demarest and Anthony Deyoe; her great-grandson, Jakob Lewis; many nieces and nephews; and a special family friend, Les Altschuler.
Services will begin 9:15 a.m. Friday, April 5, at the Lester Memorial Home, 16 W. Church St., Jamesburg, N.J., followed by a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at Nativity of Our Lord Byzantine Catholic Church, East Brunswick.
Burial will follow at Forest Green Park Cemetery, Morganville, N.J.
Visiting hours for family and friends will be Thursday, 4 to 8 p.m., and Friday, 8:15-9:15 a.m., at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in the name of Mrs. Durko may be made to Nativity of Our Lord Byzantine Catholic Church, at www.nativitybyzantineeb.com.
