Florence Regula

Florence Regula, 79, of Dickson City, died Tuesday in Moses Taylor Hospital. She was the widow of Theodore Regula Sr., who died in September 1957.

Born and raised in Winton, daughter of the late Harry and Jenny Thurwall Fowler, she was a 1947 graduate of Jessup High School and a resident of the Midvalley area all of her life. She worked in the garment industry for many years. Before retirement, she was a nurse's aide at the Lackawanna County Health Care Center. She was a member of Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church, Jessup.

Surviving are two daughters, Donna Armfield and husband, Albert, Dickson City; and Madge Turbessi and husband, Ernest, Dickson City; two sons, Theodore Regula Jr., Winooski, Vt.; and Timothy Regula, Archbald; five grandchildren, Karen Armfield-Aboumoussa, Bayside, N.Y.; Lori Lukasavage and Ernest Turbessi Jr., both of Dickson City; Darren and Matthew Regula, both of Archbald; three great-grand­children, Katherine, Cooper and Chelsea; a sister, Ann Villella, Peckville; nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Florence Mary; five sisters, Ruth, Helen, Jane, Dorothy and Rose Mary; and two brothers, Harry and James Fowler.

The funeral will be Saturday at 9 a.m. from the Arthur A. Albini Funeral Home, 1003 Church St., Jessup, with Divine Liturgy at 9:30 in Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church, First Avenue, Jessup. Interment, parish cemetery, Jessup. Relatives and friends may call Friday, 4 to 8 p.m. Parastas will be at 5.
