Gail F. Bentler Jr. of Pulaski, N.Y., formerly of Gouldsboro, passed away Friday after a lengthy illness.
Born Oct. 7, 1951, in Scranton, he was the son of the late Gail F. Bentler Sr. and Elizabeth A. (Scott) Bentler. Prior to his retirement, Gail was employed by Edwards Concrete.
Gail loved spending time with his kids and grandkids and his dog, Gigi. He loved fishing out on his boat, remodeling, building things and being outdoors.
Surviving are his children, Randy Bentler, Stacey Bentler, Denise Richards, Dan Bentler, Chris Bentler, Craig Bentler Sr., Sue Bentler and Brian Bentler; his sister, Lisa Bentler; his brother, Allen Bentler Sr.; and his grandchildren, Mark Strausser Jr., Jada Willingham, Hailey Richards, CJ Bentler Jr., Dylan Bentler, Dmitri Bentler-Willingham and John Elliott Richards.
He was preceded in death by his companion, Carenia Haggerty; his sister, Kathy Wombacker; and his nephew, Allen Bentler Jr.
The family would like to thank all of Gail's caregivers, Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore, Sinclairs Home Care Registry, Michelle Scott, Eric O'Neill, Annalea and Eleanor Klaiss; and his granddaughter, Hailey Richards.
A visitation will be conducted Friday, March 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. in Duffy & Snowdon Funeral Home, 401 Church St., Moscow, with services to follow at 8 p.m. Graveside services will be conducted privately with family at Fairview Memorial Park in Elmhurst, Pa.
