Tina Haas and family,
Reading Gary's obituary brings many memories. We both lived on Railroad St, Cressona. At age 10-11, I became the Haas babysitter. Out of school at 3pm, I went to the Haas home and made their evening meal, helped them with their homework, gave them baths, in bed by 8:30. Their dad Joe worked at AP Grocery and got home at 10:30pm. Betty worked in Smoketown at Ethel Maid making funeral clothes until 10pm. In those days, special clothes were made for funerals.
At this point, I am 88, looking forward to being 89 on March 12, Girl Scout Day. Wanted to let you know they were angels but fought among themselves. When Wayne lived in the area, he would make it known at gatherings I was the family babysitter. Please share this with him.
Loads of love,
