Gertha Azalea (Wall) Parrish, 69, of Scranton, passed away Feb. 7, 2022, at the Geisinger CMC after a valiant battle with COVID.
Born in Sewickley on April 15, 1952, to the late Jesse and Edna Wall, she was the mother of two children, Ervina Renee and Ervin Alton. Gertha was an animal lover, an avid gardener and enjoyed a good action movie.
Surviving are a daughter, Ervina Hamilton Phillips and her husband, Daryll; and brother, Burleigh Wall.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister, as well as her husband and son.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 19, at 11 a.m. in the Grace Baptist Church of the Abingtons, Pine Tree Drive, Dalton.
Arrangements and are under the care and direction of the Solfanelli-Fiorillo Funeral Home Inc., 1030 N. Main Ave., Scranton.
