James S. Salerno, 21, of West Pittston, passed away unexpectedly at home Saturday, March 27, 2021.
Born in Kingston on May 26, 1999, he was the son of Ralph and Donna Bojarcik Salerno of West Pittston. Jimmy was a 2020 graduate of Wyoming Area High School and had worked at Fox Hill Country Club, Exeter.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, James and Carmella Salerno, and maternal grandparents, Stanley and Mildred Bojarcki.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are sisters, Jennifer Salerno, West Pittston and Melissa Salerno, Swoyersville; niece, Jemma; and uncle, Ronald Bojarcik and his wife, Julia, Swoyersville.
The Salerno family would like to express their gratitude to Rosalie and Patrick Messina Jr., who signed Jimmy up for Scouts. He enjoyed his time in Cub Scouts and graduated into Boy Scouts where he attained the rank of Star Scout while earning 10 merit badges.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, April 6, at 9:30 a.m. in Corpus Christi Parish, West Pittston. Those attending are asked to go directly to the church and follow CDC guidelines of wearing a face covering and maintaining social distance. Interment, West Pittston Cemetery.
