Jean Marie Elston, 85, of Mount Cobb, passed away Nov. 11, 2021, at Advent Hospital, Deland, Fla.
Born in Mount Cobb to Homer and Pearl Butler, Jean was an organist and pianist for more than 60 years at Hamlin Assembly of God Church, then Elmhurst Christian Center. Jean raised five children while managing William Elston Co. with her husband until retirement. Jean had many talents and was a strong, loving woman who will be greatly missed. Jean is survived by her husband of 63 years, William H. Elston; daughters, Debbie Coyle, Cindy Moore and Bonnie Cooke; son, William R. Elston; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jean was preceded in death by daughter, Tina Elston-Benzeleski; grandchildren, Kaitlin Elston, Jay Coyle, Jimmy Coyle and Kelly Coyle; daughter-in-law, Michele Elston; and son-in-law, James Coyle.
Celebration of life will be held at the Hen's Nest, 241 Lake Spangenberg Road, Mount Cobb, on Dec. 10. Visitation, 4 p.m. Service, 5 p.m., followed by dinner.
