Jeffrey James Lepre, 59, of Scranton, lost his four-year battle with chronic kidney disease on Jan. 5, 2024.
Born in Carbondale, he was the son of the late William Lepre, formerly of Carbondale, and the late Beverley L. Sokolowsky, formerly of Dickson City. Jeff was a 1983 graduate of Dunmore High School and was a licensed practical nurse for many years. He served honorably in the United States Army as a medic. Before his illness, he was a medical instructor at the Fortis Institute, Scranton.
Jeffrey would like to acknowledge the caring staff at the DaVita Dialysis for their compassion and help through his illness. He would like to be remembered for his kindness to animals, especially cats.
He is survived by his brothers, Michael, John, Jerry and Frank; cousins; nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be private and at the convenience of the family in the Vanston and James Funeral Home, Scranton.
