Jennifer Jo Michel, 54, of North Abington Twp., passed away on Saturday at Regional Hospital of Scranton, with her loving husband of 13 years, James Michel, at her side.
Born in Mount Holly, N.J., she was the daughter of Peter and Shirley Torhan Sagan of N. Abington Twp. She was a member of St. John Vianney Parish at Corpus Christi Church, Montdale, where she served in their music ministry, along with being a member of St. Gregory's Parish, Clarks Green. She was a graduate of Abington Heights High School.
Presently, she and her husband operated Silo Antiques in North Abington Twp., and she was an independent distributor for NEORA Health and Wellness Products.
Jennifer graduated magna cum laude from the Boston Conservatory with a BFA in dance and went on to perform on stages from New York City to Las Vegas and across Europe for 15 years.
She performed with and counted as friends some of Broadway's greatest performers like Tommy Tune, Sandy Duncan, Maurice Hines and Pat Boone. Jennifer danced in Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and Radio City Music Hall, where her dream to become a Rockette came true. Some of her shows include "42nd Street," "Crazy For You," "Will Rogers Follies" and "Singin' in The Rain."
Her peers remember that she supported young performers and found joy not only in her dance but in all stages of her life.
The family would like to thank the team which rendered truly exceptional care to Jenn, Drs. Gallela, Hyzinski, Haggerty and Kelly, and their entire staff, as well as the wonderfully compassionate health care team at Regional Hospital of Scranton.
Surviving is a sister, Mary Joy Nolan, and husband, Mark, Berwyn; and a brother, Christopher Sagan, and wife, Peggy, North Abington Twp.; nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 9 to 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, Montdale. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m., offered by the Rev. Dr. Michael Kirwin, pastor. Interment will follow at SS. Cyril and Methodius Cemetery, Peckville.

While we didn't know Jenn well, whenever we were in her presence you could tell she was a wonderful person and actually, what more could you ask of someone? It was a pleasure to know you, Jenn.
Sincere condolences to the entire family.
