Jerry M. Horan, 88, of Blakely, passed away on Dec. 12, 2021. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Enright Horan.
Jerry was born in Carbondale, son of the late William and Mary Howard Horan. Following his graduation from St. Rose High School, Carbondale, he served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged and graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1964. Jerry retired from both the ITT Corporation and Burns and Roe Architecture Engineers. Jerry and Ann returned to Pennsylvania after spending his working career in New Jersey.
He is survived by his daughter and caregiver, Maureen Cotroneo and husband, Gary, Blakely, and their children, Julianna and Colin; his son, Atty. Michael Horan and wife, Ann Maderer, of Massachusetts; his daughter, Atty. Mern Horan and husband, Atty. Michael Tankersley, of Virginia; grandchildren, Maggie Horan Giusti and her husband, Nick; Mick Horan and his fiancée, Shawdee Sariri; Catherine Horan, and Max and Maia Horan-Tankersley; great-grandson, Jack Giusti; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Roberta Horan and Alberta Horan Morcom.
The funeral will be Friday, Dec. 17, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. Interment will follow in Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill, where Jerry will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife of 43 years.
