Jing Cho Obituary

Jing Shu Cho, 93, Mayfield, died Sunday at Allied Services Hospice, Scranton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guo Liang Cao, in 2005.

Born in Hebei, China, she graduated from Renmin University, China. She was a very open-minded and educated woman who loved life and traveled with her daughter to Europe, the Caribbean and the United States. She loved living in this country. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She will be missed by her family.

She is survived by two daughters, Xiao Hong (Farrar) Whitiak and husband, Zongke Zhao, Mayfield; and Di Cao, China; a granddaughter, Sonia and husband, Dimitri Serbarinov, Boston; a grandson, Li Chen, China; and stepgrandson, Zilong Zhao, Philadelphia.

The family would like to thank friends who came to visit her in this country. Special thanks to Allied Hospice for their compassionate care and, due to their effort, brought peace of mind to the family.

Friends and family may visit Thursday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Charles A Battenberg Funeral Home, 363 Washington Ave., Jermyn.
