Karen Ann Gregorski, 75, of New York City, formerly of Throop, died at home on Oct. 16.
She lived a life filled with ever unfolding new adventures - much travel, good friends and great food.
Karen grew up in Throop, the daughter of Joseph and Irene Gregorski. She obtained an associate's degree in radiology at the University of Scranton. Karen's fate and personality sought expanded horizons. On a trip to New York her future was sealed as she fell in love with the city and all that it had to offer.
It is Jan. 5, 1969 and the next chapter of Karen's life begins. She trained as an X-Ray technologist, spending the next 40 years at her beloved Memorial Sloan Kettering. She traveled to every corner of the earth from Alaska to Machu Picchu to the Galapagos Islands. She also spent her retirement years diving in Bonaire and sunning in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. She loved good food and excelled as a gourmet cook. She was sassy, laughed, loved to share jokes and brought a smile wherever she went. She lived a rich life full of adventures.
Karen is survived by her long-term partner, Judi Lebzelter, many cousins, as well as countless friends she considered family.
