Matthew Merrifield Obituary
Matthew Merrifield, 65, of Archbald, passed away Friday at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton, He was the husband of Mary Lynn (Sershen) Merrifield. They were married for 11 years.
Matthew was born in Scranton on Dec. 17, 1957, a son of the late William and Sarah (Parette) Merrifield. Matt was a retired foreman for Kriger Pipeline.
Also survived by son, David Sershen (Shayla), New York; daughter, Amanda Barth, Dickson City; grandchildren, Emily Sershen, Jayce and Jakob McCabe; two sisters, JoEllen Turouski and Arcilla O'Malley; two brothers, George and Albert Merrifield; father-in-law, Leonard Sershen; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by sister, Laura Kossman; brothers, William, Francis, Joseph, Nick and Eugene.
Viewing will be held Sunday 6 to 8 p.m. at Harrison Funeral Home, 374 N. Main St., Archbald.
