Michael A. Bocan, 91, of Easton, formerly of Jessup, died Thursday at Promedica, Easton. His wife is the former Veronica Zelinski. The couple was married for 65 years.
Born in Jessup, he was the son of the late John and Elizabeth Bocan. Mike attended Jessup High School and entered the United States Marine Corps to serve his country during the Korean War. He was employed as a butcher until his retirement.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be dearly missed.
Michael was very proud of being a Marine and his military service.
Also surviving are his children, Thomas and wife, Michelle, Florida; Edward and wife, Kerry, Throop; Paul and wife, Donna, Spring Brook Twp.; Daniel and wife, Michele, Tobyhanna; 13 grandchildren, Maura, Robert, Tyler, Morgan, Randy, Michael, Brittany, Edward Jr., Nicole, Ashley, Jennifer, Chris and John; five great-grandchildren, Ginny, Kit, Kennedy, Bryce and Carly; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, John Bocan.
The funeral will be Saturday with a blessing service at 11 a.m. at the Louis M. Margotta Funeral Home, celebrated by the Rev. Jeff Tudgay. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst. For directions or online condolences, visit www.margottafuneralhomes.com.
