Michael Paul Killino, 27 years young, of Taylor, died unexpectedly Saturday morning at home.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of Paul Killino (Heidi Keihn), with whom he resided, and Tanya Skurka (Michael Mecca), Scranton. He attended Riverside Jr.-Sr. High School, and in his youth participated with Taylor Little League and Taylor Jr. Vikes Football. He enjoyed video games and astronomy, was a talented artist and a Miami Dolphins fan.
Surviving are his twin brother, Nicholas P., Peckville; his grandparents, Dominic Sal Killino, and Robert and Valerie Skurka; his dogs, Rusty and Kaos; aunts and uncles, Georgia and Jack Stelmack, Sal and Nadine Killino, Laura and Lou Mickavicz, Rob and Patti Skurka, and Jim and Jen Skurka; cousins, Ashley Piskunowicz, Gabrielle Stelmack, Abrianna and Nico Killino, David, Ryan, Andrew and Bethany Mickavicz, RJ Talerico, Christian, Julianne, Vanessa and Larissa Skurka, and Emily Bryk.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Marie Killino; and cousin, Zackery Skurka.
Michael was a much-loved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend who battled with addiction. His addiction does not define him.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Recovery Bank, 120 Wyoming Ave., Scranton, PA 18503; or a charity of donor's choice. Above all, be kind to others not only in Michael's memory, but also because it is the right thing, always.
A blessing service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Eagen-Hughes Funeral Home, 2908 Birney Ave., Scranton. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.
Friends may call Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m.
