Michael Tolerico Obituary

Michael A. Tolerico, 67, of Carbondale, died Monday at Carbondale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Carbondale, son of the late Peter (Swally) and Evelyn Langan Tolerico, he was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale and Lackawanna Junior College. Mike spent four years in the Navy and worked for more than 20 years at PNC Bank, managing its inventory. He also worked at Wegman's. A member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale, Mike was an avid Carbondale basketball fan his entire life, attending countless games and keeping memorabilia on various seasons. He was also a big-time Temple basketball fan.

Surviving are a brother, James Tolerico and wife, Bonnie, Clifford; a sister, Marge Reutzel and husband, Edward, Austin, Texas; two nieces, Maggie Milunic and Gretchen Reutzel: two nephews, James Tolerico and Frederick Reutzel; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The funeral will be Friday from the Lawrence A. Gabriel Funeral Home, 74 N. Main St., Carbondale, with Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill.

Friends may call Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Foundation, 111 S. Independence Mall E, Suite 411, Philadelphia, PA 19106-2521.

dear mary marge and jimmy, joe and i are remembering mike and thinking of the wonderful times we had as kids and we will never forget his kindness and great spirit. we are sending strength and love to your family.
