Michele Lee Thomas

Michele Lee Thomas, 45, a lifelong resident of Madisonville, died Friday morning at Regional Hospital of Scranton after a lifelong battle with Osler Weber Rendu syndrome, also known as HHT.

Born in 1970 in Scranton, she was the daughter of Alan Thomas and wife, Carol, and the late Susan Henneforth Thomas. She was educated in the North Pocono School District and was a member of the graduating class of 1989. Throughout the time when she was able to work, she was employed by various fast food establishments in the Hamlin area.

Michele attended Madisonville Christian Church. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Lackawanna Valley, Peckville, at the time of her death.

Also surviving are her beloved son, Ethan; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

All are invited to attend graveside services Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Hornbaker Cemetery, Hornbaker Cemetery Road, Madisonville, with Pastor Scot Schlittler officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Osler Weber Rendu Syndrome (Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia) Research at CURE HHT, P.O. Box 329, Monkton, MD 21111, or by visiting www.curehht.org.

Arrangements have been entrusted to and are under the care and direction of the James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.
