Mira Kirincic Obituary

Mira (Mirjana Kosier) Kirincic, age 86, of Highland IN passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 25th, 2024, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her children, Helen (Ken) Stancik and David (Stacy) Kirincic. Cherished grandmother of Samantha (Adam) Turner, Stefanie (Nathan) Pope, Sarah Stancik, Joshua (Madalyn) Stancik,
Owen Kirincic and Jessica (Kyle) Hensley and great-grandmother of Ryan Pope and Everly & Amelia Hensley. Mira is survived by her brother, Eli (Milka) Kosier and many nieces and nephews. Mira is preceded in death by her son Georgie, husband George,
parents Jovo and Danica and siblings Milena and Marinko.

Friends and family are invited to visit Monday, April 29th, 2024, at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home located at 14 Kennedy Avenue in Schererville IN. Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 11:00 am with eulogy and prayer at 11:00 am. The burial ceremony will follow at
Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, IN.

Her children and grandchildren were the loves of her life, and they always felt her love. If they needed her, she was there. Every child fortunate enough to have her in their life was referred to as, ‘My’: ‘My Johnnie’, ‘My Nana’, too many to name, but we all felt her maternal love.

Nothing was more important to Mira than her relationship with her family and friends. No one needed to call before they came to chat, cry, or seek advice. She would put on the coffee and sit at the kitchen table as long as your heart’s desire.

She worked hard with her husband George to give their siblings the opportunity to prosper in the United States by sponsoring and helping to sponsor until all who wished to be here had the opportunity to do so.

Her perfectionism and work ethic showed in the beautiful furniture she designed and upholstered for clients, family, and friends. Her basement was a playground of foam and fabric for her grandkids to destroy, and she didn’t hesitate to put them to work pulling
staples.

She taught us to love unconditionally, she taught us to work hard, and she taught us to never give up.

Helen and Ken and family, I am thinking about you during this most difficult time and remembering the times that I spent with you, Helen, and your family when I was a little girl. I hope you know that I loved being with you and your family. My thoughts are with you.
