Nancy Springer, 80 years old, of Maplewood, was called home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, March 19, 2022, with her loving husband of 60 years, Russell Springer Jr., by her side. Her loss is felt most deeply by this man, her best friend and sweetheart since the age of 8.
Born in Spring Brook Twp., she was the daughter of the late John and Stella (Rybcinski) Bartrige. Nancy graduated from North Pocono High School in 1960. Nancy and her husband loved to travel, and explored many of the world's most wondrous destinations. She was a godly woman of great strength, and left a legacy of God's amazing love and grace, and served as an example to all that knew her. Nancy loved shopping whether it be stacking coupons on senior day, or haggling at a yard sale, she was always in search of the best deal. Nothing made her prouder than her family and she truly cherished every moment she spent surrounded by her children and grandchildren, with a house full of laughter, food and, most importantly, love. Nancy especially cherished the time she spent with her great-granddaughter, Kiera.
In addition to her husband Russell, Nancy is survived by her sons, Rusty Springer and his wife, Julie; Richie Springer and fiancée, Maria Rosario; Ronnie Springer and his wife, Rosann; her sister, Mary Geier; her grandchildren, Jonathan Day, Amanda Springer and fiancé, Christopher Blanchard; Abril Rosario, Russell "Little Rusty" Springer Jr. and Richard "Ricky" Springer; her great-grandchild, Kiera McCarthy; her sister-in-law: Carol O'Donnel and her husband, Robert; her grandpuppy, "Papi" Springer; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Carol Springer; and her siblings, Stella "Curly" Falacianna, Frances "Franny" Locklin, Josephine Darlak and John Bartrige.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 26, at noon at Cross Road Assembly of God, 803 State Route 435 in Elmhurst Twp. Interment will follow in Fairview Memorial Park in Elmhurst Twp.
Visitation will held on Saturday, from 10 to 11:50 a.m., also at the church.
In lieu of flowers, Nancy's family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to Cross Road Assembly of God, 803 State Route 435, Elmhurst Twp., PA 18444.
