On Feb. 28, 2023, the sparkle left Pauline Biancarelli's eyes. She passed away at the age of 91 at home, with her loved ones at her side. Her husband of 48 years, George Biancarelli, preceded her in death on Jan. 5, 1998.
Born in Throop, she was the daughter of the late Prudenzio and Sophie Falzett Garcia.
Pauline was larger than life and you would never forget her if you had the good fortune of meeting her. She was an excellent cook and would always feed anyone who walked through the door. She was generous, funny and always there to listen. She was a beautiful woman and was crowned Miss Throop in 1949. She never left the house without being decked out from head to toe, including a ring on every finger.
Pauline worked with her husband in the family business, Biancarelli's Pharmacy, in Eynon and later in Jessup. People enjoyed coming to the pharmacy just to visit and talk to Pauline and George. She had many dear friends for decades. She always made sure there was a card for every occasion and took great pride in her card display.
Special gratitude to her dear niece, Dr. Susan Biancarelli, and Sacred Heart Hospice. Her wish was to die at home and many thanks to her special caregivers: Angela Biancarelli, Geralyn Biancarelli and Mary Nakonechni.
She was a member of St. Mary's Assumption Church, Queen of Angels Parish, Jessup, Ladies Auxiliary of the Eynon VFW, and the Pharmaceutical Association.
Survived by her four children, Joanne; Paula and husband, Vince Brust; George and wife, Mary Ann; and Bruce and wife, Tina. Additionally, she was Noni to her 10 beloved grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; also, a brother, Anthony Garcia.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Anna Lettieri.
The funeral will be held Monday from the Louis M. Margotta Funeral Home, 511 Church St., Jessup, with Mass at 1 p.m. at St. Michael's Church, Jessup. Interment, St. John's Cemetery, Jessup.
Friends may call Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Queen of Angels Parish, 605 Church St., Jessup, PA 18434.
