Phyllis Lipisko Obituary
Born in Cirencester Gloucestershire, England, daughter of the late Eric Clay-Johnson and Georgina Saunders, she was educated in England and a member of St. Ann's Basilica. Before retirement, she served as a Social Club manager for many years.
Marie was a member of West Scranton Senior Citizens and an avid bingo player. She received great pleasure from being with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and dog, Winston. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be missed by all.
Surviving are two daughters, Georgina E. Hudak and Allison L. Novak and husband, Bart, all of Scranton; two sons, Mathew E., Scranton; and Mark S., Scranton, who provided great care for Marie; 23 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ellen Weathers, California; nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, John C. Lipisko and Stanley L. Lipisko Sr.; two daughters, Rosemary A. Davies and Doreen E. Balandis; a grandson, Steven Altenhain; a brother, Derek Clay-Johnson; two sisters, Beatrice Holden and Hilda Collett.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. from the Thomas J. Hughes Funeral Home Inc., with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Ann's Basilica by the Rev. Fran Landry, C.P. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 5 to 8 p.m.

Poom and Family, I am so sorry and saddened to hear of the loss of your mother...such a wonderfully beautiful woman who was the Matriarch of such a loving family. She will be missed by many, even more than she was loved by. She can rest in peace now, in the gentle loving arms of our creator.
