Rebecca Flannery, 57, daughter of James P. and Rita Pilch Flannery of Peckville, died after a 13-month struggle with ovarian cancer.
Her husband, William "Doc" Watson, took her on a 14-year adventure of a lifetime and never left her side. Her children, Kendra Srebro, Brooklyn, N.Y.; and Max Srebro, Dickson City, spent the entire coronavirus lockdown with her and made sure each day was full of laughter, Netflix documentaries and Broadway showtunes.
She is also survived by her sister, Erin and Tom Zizaluskas; sister, Kelli and John Vachino; brother, Patrick and Carolyn; brother, Jim and Cheryl; her husband's two sons, two nephews, five nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends whose back porch visits brightened every day.
A memorial Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Monday at Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish, Dickson City, for family and friends. All attendees are required to wear masks.
In lieu of monetary donations, Rebecca asks that you vote for political candidates who believe in universal healthcare.
