Robert Cetta Obituary
Born in Scranton, son of the late Robert Cetta and Virginia Morgans, he was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School and was employed by the Pennsylvania Gas & Water Co. for more than 30 years. A devout Catholic, he was baptized at St. Lucy's and was a longtime member of Holy Rosary Parish in North Scranton.
A devoted husband and father, Bob treasured spending time with his family, especially Wildwood vacations and their joyful holidays together. He had a lifelong interest in fitness and bodybuilding, and was an avid fan of the woeful Philadelphia 76ers and the Boston Red Sox. He chose to be an organ donor through the Gift of Life donor program. He made numerous contributions to animal causes in memory of his beloved tiny dogs, Sam, Lucky and Mickey.
Also surviving are a son, Joseph and wife, Sarah, Chicago; daughters, Angela Buonincontro and husband, Michael, Hainesport, N.J.; and Susan, Scranton; a son, Robert, Scranton; daughter, Maria Costanzo; a brother, Bill Morgans, Olyphant; aunts and cousins.
The funeral will be Saturday from the Carl J. Savino Funeral Home, 157 S. Main Ave., Scranton, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:45 a.m. in St. Lucy's Church, 949 Scranton St., Scranton. Interment will be in the Cathedral Cemetery.
Friends may call Saturday from 8:30 to 10:15 in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, 967 Griffin Pond Road, South Abington Twp., PA 18444.
