Robert D. Fiorelli, 84, of Peckville, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2022, at home surrounded by his loving family. His wife of 67 years is the former Santina Santarelli.
Born in Jessup, he was the son of the late Angelo and Emma Pace Fiorelli. A graduate of Jessup High School, he attended Penn State University. He proudly served in the Pennsylvania National Guard where he was stationed in Germany during the Korean War. He was an avid fisherman and boatsman.
He was a member of the Lions Club, Victor Alfieri Society and a charter member of the Keystone UNICO Chapter.
Bob's passion for food and strong work ethic led him to establish, along with his wife Santina, Fiorelli Catering in Peckville. Bob always looked forward to dinners with family and friends and thoroughly enjoyed his Italian heritage. He enjoyed having coffee, playing cards, and celebrating with his friends every morning at Pop-Pop's in Peckville. He loved to travel and going to casinos.
Also surviving are sons, Dr. Robert L. Fiorelli and wife, Joanne, Shavertown; and Darryl Fiorelli, Peckville; daughter, Christine Fiorelli-O'Malley, Peckville; eight grandchildren, Robert J., Laura, Jonathan, Elana, Amanda, Dario, Patrick and Vincent; great-grandson, Calvin; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by daughter, Sheree Cippiciani; brothers, Emilio and Louis; and sisters, Delores Metro and Norma Draper.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 1101 Willow St., Peckville. Interment with military honors, St. John's Cemetery, Jessup. All attending the funeral are kindly asked to proceed directly to church.
Friends and family may pay their respects Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Arthur A. Albini Funeral Home, 1003 Church St., Jessup. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert's memory to the Breadbasket – Mid-Valley, 316 First Ave., Jessup, PA 18434.
