It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert G. Seman, age 76, who peacefully departed this life on May 9, 2024. A beloved father, brother and friend, Robert leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work and cherished memories.
Born and raised in Yonkers, New York, Robert developed a passion for football early on and excelled as a player during his high school years. His athleticism and teamwork on the field were a source of pride and camaraderie, traits that would define his approach to life and relationships.
Following his high school years, Robert pursued a career as a mechanic, a profession in which he found great satisfaction and success. His skillful hands and meticulous attention to detail earned him the respect and trust of his community. Known for his dedication and unwavering work ethic, Robert could always be counted on to get the job done right.
In his personal life, Robert was married for 20 years to Diane Seman before amicably parting ways. Together, he and his former spouse raised three wonderful children, who were the light of his life: Cindy, Michael and John. His love and devotion to his children were evident in every aspect of his life, and he took immense pride in their accomplishments and the people they have become.
Later in life, Robert relocated to Scranton, Pennsylvania, where he continued to work and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. In Scranton, Robert would meet Sue Yatorn. He and Sue would spend the next 23 years happily together. Despite the changes and challenges that came his way, he remained a steadfast presence for his family and friends, always ready with a helping hand or a kind word.
Robert is also survived by his beloved sister, Carol Nygard, who currently resides in Florida and with whom he shared a lifelong bond.
As we say goodbye to Robert Seman, we remember a man of integrity, strength and heart. His legacy will live on through his children, his sister, eight grandchildren and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association, reflecting Robert's battle with heart disease.
Rest in peace, Robert G. Seman. You will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved you.
