Robert Slachta Obituary
Born in Jessup, he was the son of the late Joseph and Helen Waha Slachta. He graduated from Jessup High School and Lackawanna Business School. Before his retirement, he was an accountant for Wayne County Ford.
In his free time, Robert's hobbies included amateur photography, fly fishing, as well as golfing and kayaking with his wife, Theresa.
Also surviving are two stepsons, David Dobson, of Sayre and Paul Lenihan and his wife, Katie, of South Lyon, Mich.; two stepdaughters, Catherine Kearney, of Jessup; and Jill Nick, of Dickson City; five grandchildren, Nicole, Erika, Janine, Gabriella and Alexander; and a brother, Joseph, Jessup.
Private arrangements were conducted by the Albert P. O'Donnell Funeral Home, 2025 Green Ridge St., Dunmore.

Bob, it is God's plan when we are brought into this world when he will take us home to Heaven. He did what he had to do to take you away.

Rest in peace Uncle Robert, although you and I only spoke a few times on Facebook(Linda), I always hoped we would meet each other in person someday.
But God had a much better plan for you they say: and that is why your gone away. We knew you were sick and tired so God had to do what he had to do . So he brought you up to heaven with him. All we know is that it is time to let God bless you and take you into his loving arms into the internal light amongst the Angels in Heaven and rest now ,for now there is no more sickness , and you can go on peacefully until we all meet again someday !!!!!!! You will always be loved and thought of each and every day.
