Romayne Cadden Kollra

Romayne Cadden Kollra of North Scranton died Friday evening in Regional Hospital of Scranton. Her husband, Robert W. Kollra, died November 1989.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Patrick and Alice Cadden, she was educated in Scranton public schools and was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School. Before her retirement, she was employed as a bookkeeper by K & K Auto Parts and Central Warehouse, both of Scranton. She was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish at Holy Rosary Church, North Scranton.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister whose life centered on her family. She was the ultimate caregiver of her family and no task was ever left undone. She loved all of her dogs tremendously, giving them the best possible home. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Romayne's family would like to offer their heartfelt thanks to her caregivers, Marian Anticoli and Mary Ellen Beavers, for the care and compassion given to her.

Surviving are one son, Robert, Scranton, and companion, Grace Catalano, also of Scranton; two grandchildren, Robert Patrick Kollra and wife, Elizabeth, Abingdon, Md.; and Kim Benjamin and husband, Bruce, Archbald; three great-grandsons, Noah and Chase Benjamin; and Samuel Kollra; nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by one sister, Jean Cadden.

The funeral will be conducted Monday from the Carl J. Savino Funeral Home, 157 S. Main Ave., West Scranton, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Mary, Mother of God Parish at Holy Rosary Church, 316 William St., North Scranton. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.
