Sally Leventhall Obituary

Sally A. Leventhall, 67, of Nicholson, died Tuesday at Mercy-Tyler Hospital, Tunkhannock. Her husband is Robert W. Leventhall. They were married for 48 years.

Born Oct. 22, 1942, in Nicholson, daughter of the late Joseph and Leona Hinkley Nichols, she was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Arbutus, Chapter 29.

Sally was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her kindness towards others impacted the lives of all those who surrounded her. Sally continually put the needs of others before her own. Her greatest joys included spending time with her seven grandchildren. She also enjoyed morning walks on the beach, hummingbirds and researching her family's history.

Her family would like to thank the staff at Mercy-Tyler Hospital for its compassion and care throughout Sally's illness.

Also surviving are three daughters, Ginger Edwards, Sugar Run; Lori Mason, Lansing, N.Y.; and Lynn Bushta, Factoryville; two sons, Jeffrey, Clarks Summit; and Mark, Factoryville; a brother, Gary Nichols, Medford Lakes, N.J.; and seven grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Nichols.

Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the Charles H. Litwin Funeral Home, 91 State St., Nicholson, to be officiated by the Rev. John Shaffer. Interment will be in the Nicholson Cemetery.

Friends may call Thursday, 2 to 4 and 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wyoming County Historical Society, P.O. Box 309, Tunkhannock, PA 18657.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the extended Leventhall family. Mrs. Leventhall always stood out as a kind, happy, and wonderful person. She raised an incredible family and always had something nice to say about every one and every thing, and she gave her all for those around her.
