Stephen Duick Obituary

Stephen Andrew Duick, 60, of South Gibson, died Monday at home following an illness.

Born in Bucks County, he was the son of Dr. Patricia Cucura Duick, Yardley and the late Jerome Duick.

Andy graduated from Pennsbury High School and earned many certificates for marksmanship. He started his own business in 5th grade called Andys Memorabilia. He worked with Topps selling baseball cards and sports memorabilia. He earned a Business degree from Penn State University and worked for Contemporary Homes before opening North American Arms on Route 6 in Eynon. He eventually purchased land in South Gibson, opening a shooting range where people also came to hunt, participate in turkey shoots or hunt pheasants he raised on the property aptly named Endless Mountain Preserve. Andy was also the proprietor of The Candlelight Inn in Uniondale. He was a lifetime member of the NRA.

Also surviving are his sister, Belinda Bright and companion, Tim; his aunts, Diane Cucura and Helen Straka; uncle Stephen Cucura and wife Jeanne; nieces, Victorian Bright and husband Brian Foster; a niece grandnephew and grandniece, Jaxson and Kennedy Foster; several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his godfather, Robert Cucura and uncle James Straka.

The funeral will be on Friday with Divine Liturgy at 11am at SS Cyril and Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church, Olyphant. Interment will follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery, Jessup. Viewing hours will be held on Thursday from 6 to 8pm at James M. Margotta Funeral Home, 1019 Main St. Peckville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the NRA, 11250 Waples Mill Road, Fairfax, VA 22030

Stephen Andrew Duick, better known as "ANDY" by his Family. He started out as Stephen Andrew, then in his younger years (before he could walk) was known as "STANDY" - for Stephen Andrew Duick, then after he could walk, He graduated to be known as "ANDY DUICK" by his close Family. He will be truely missed by his Aunt Jeanne and Uncle Steve. In the attached photo, wearing the U.S.S. Scranton -Attack Submarine Hat- sitting in the Sun in Forest City; "this gentleman walked up to Andy" ,and Said; "Sir Thank You for your Service"; Andy - Replied with a THANK YOU.
