Steve Durkin Obituary
Steve Durkin, 68, of Carbondale, executive director of the Carbondale YMCA for many years, died Wednesday at Allied Hospice, Scranton.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Nov. 25, at a site and time to be announced.
A full obituary with Celebration of Life information will be forthcoming. There will be no funeral services.

Sincere sympathies to you all. Steve was one of my most treasured friends. He was a wonderful example of what caring and working in Carbondale was all about. I am so grateful for all the projects I worked on with him, as main street manager, carbondale business association, ymca director, business neighbor and every meal I ever served him at the Ben Mar . Until we meet again my friend.
