Thomas V. Terranella

Thomas V. Terranella, 79, Carbondale, died last Wednesday at home. His wife was the late Rosalie Terranella.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., son of the late Albert and Rose Morale Terranella, Tom was a United States Air Force veteran who served during the Korean War. He was co-owner of TNT Appliances for 20 years and manager of Sugerman's Pet Department. He was president of the Friendly City Chorus and member of the Classic Voices Chorus in Carbondale. Before his illness, he took pride in his garden.

Surviving are three sons, Ronald L. Terranella, Carbondale; David J. Terranella, Saugerties, N.Y.; and Douglas M. Terranella, Blakely; stepsons, Robert Cordner and wife, Gloria, Pleasant Mount; and Thomas Cordner, Carbondale; a stepdaughter, Gloria Perri, Greenfield Twp.; a granddaughter, Christina Cordner, who he and his late wife raised since birth; 13 additional grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a brother, Ronald L. Terranella, Clarks Summit; a sister-in-law, Viola Tomsky; a brother-in-law, Bruno Ealo and wife, Gloria; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Thomas V. Terranella Jr.; a brother, Ray J. Terranella; a stepdaughter, Debbie Cordner; a grandson, Derrick Perri; a son-in-law, Robert Perri; and brother-in-law, Raymond Tomsky.

A memorial Mass will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. Interment, with military honors, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill.

Friends may call at the church from 9 a.m. until Mass time.
