William Dunnells Obituary

William Frank Dunnells Jr., 70, of Tunkhannock, died Monday night at Moses Taylor Hospital after an illness. He and his wife, Sharon Mayhew Dunnells, had been married for more than 45 years.

Born in Bristol, Conn., son of the late William F. Sr. and Myrtle Sheldon Dunnells, he attended Prairie Bible Institute, Alberta, Canada, and was a salesman at Coastal Floor Covering, Georgia.

William enjoyed bowling at Idle Hour Bowling Lanes, fishing and bird watching.

Also surviving are two sisters, April Moore and Lois Deal; a brother, Mark Dunnells; two sons, Timothy Dunnells and Stephen Dunnells; two daughters, Leah Dunnells and Joy Treijo; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Leslie Dunnells.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 4 p.m. in the Harding-Litwin Funeral Home, 123 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Saturday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. For online condolences or directions, visit www.aplit winfuneralhomes.com.

So sorry to hear of Bill's recent passing. I worked side by side with Bill, many years ago (when Bill was prob about the same age I now am), for several years. Bill was a great guy, funny too, very hard-working and dedicated to his Job, that I all still remember well. My thoughts & sympathy to Mrs. Dunnells, children, & all other family members & friends of Bill.
