William Yatsonsky Obituary
He is survived by a sister, Stella Moran, of Mahwah, N.J., and son, Bill Moran, and wife, Pam, children, Patrick and Kelly Moran; sister-in-law, Josephine Appelbaum, and son, Charles Yatsonsky; sons, Eugene and wife, Joni, Honesdale; Jimmy and wife, Julie, Honesdale, with whom he resided since sustaining an injury in May; daughters, Joan Yatsonsky, Waymart; Mary Amidon and husband, Wayne, DeRuyter, N.Y.; and Carol Rutledge and husband, James, Tyler Hill. Also surviving are grandchildren, Jesse, Honesdale; Samantha Yatsonsky, Baltimore, Md.; Luke Amidon and wife, Nina Amidon, Rockaway, N.J.; Penny Haggart and husband, George, New Woodstock , N.Y.; and Daniel Amidon and wife, Darlene, DeRuyter, N.Y.; Michael Yatsonsky and wife, Brittany, Honesdale; Sara Yatsonsky and friend, Travis Hollister, Mount Cobb; Billy Yatsonsky and wife, Ashley, Waymart; and Douglas Yatsonsky and friend, Samantha Fawcett, Honesdale. Also surviving are great-grandchildren, Brian and Ben Amidon, Rockaway, N.J.; Caitlin, Jacob and Emma Haggart, New Woodstock, N.Y.; Alynna, Molly and Rebecca Amidon, DeRuyter, N.Y.; and great-grandson, Owen Michael Yatsonsky, Honesdale. Also surviving are multiple great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Bernard, John, Paul and Alex Yatsonsky; and sisters, Josephine and Cassie; three sons, William, Vincent and Joseph; and two grandchildren, Aaron Micheal and Summer Anne Tregaskis, children of daughter, Joan.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 242 Carbondale Road, Waymart, with the Rev. Joseph Sitko, pastor, officiating. The family requests that all attending go directly to the church.
Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Owego Turnpike, Waymart.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Jenkins Funeral Home-Edward Howell, funeral director, 269 Belmont St., Waymart.

Condolences to the entire Yatsonsky clan. Very few of you know me but I was a very good friend of Eugene. We and our other good friend, Ron Matoushek spent many a day on the farm. Mr Yatsonsky was always around and helped us with our various "projects." One of Mr Yatsonky's other passions was wildlife and he dedicated himself to wildlife as a Deputy Wildlife Conservation Officer. The escapades that he use to tell us spurred me to become a Deputy also, which culminated in a 20 year passion of mine. Again, I am sorry that I didn't get a chance to pay my respects in person but I hope this can suffice.
