Doris Fasel Obituary

Doris Fasel Grand Ledge Doris Fasel, 87, of Grand Ledge, formerly of Port Huron, died Thursday, May 3, 2012. She was born December 13, 1924, in Kenockee Township to the late Thomas and Jenny Bell Ramsey. She married Karl A. Fasel on October 27, 1946 in Port Huron. He preceded her in death on February 28, 2001. She was a bookkeeper for Avoca Elevator, Weston Trucking and an accountant for Bechtel Corp. She was a member of Holy Redeemer Lutheran Church and enjoyed gardening, baking and senior bus trips. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Fasel (Bill Harmon) of Colorado; two sons, Jerry (Donna) Fasel, of Lansing and Jim Fasel (Dan Crow) of Perry; three grandchildren, Matt and Lisa Klakulak and Jenna Fasel; three great grandchildren, Joergen and Emile Klakulak and Landon Meeks; and nephew William (Karen) Smith of Crystal Lake, IL. Visitation will be Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 7, 2012, in Holy Redeemer Lutheran Church with visitation an hour prior to service. The Rev. Andrew Schroeder will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron. Memorials may be made to Fairview AFC, McLaren Hospice and Holy Redeemer Lutheran Church. To send condolences visit www.pollockrandall.com
