James Ehardt Obituary
Croswell
James J. Ehardt, age 81, died Sunday June 7, 2015 at McLaren Port Huron Hospital.
He was born May 15, 1934 in Centerline, son of the late Joseph F. and Anna M. (Yost) Ehardt. On June 13, 1953 Jim married the love of his life, Catherine G. Bertich.
Jim started his own carpentry business in 1954. He built many homes in Sanilac and St. Clair counties over the next 50 years. After retirement, he did many "odd jobs" for his friends and family and even got a job during the winters in Lakeland, FL. He enjoyed family, golf, Fox News, Florida, casinos, and did we mention Fox News?
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Cathy of Croswell; his five children, Carol (Jim) Tassie, Debbie (Jeff) Grout, Mark (Terry) Ehardt, Peggy (Eric) Ferguson, and Amy (Todd) Tunich; grandchildren Tiffany, Erin, Shane, Ashley (Nathan), Evans (Destini), Sara, James and Samantha; great grandchildren Wyatt and Carlee; sister-in-laws Millie Ehardt and Carol Bertich; brother-in-law John (Cathy) Bertich; and many nieces nephews and good friends. He was preceded in death by a son Dave, and siblings Barbara, Joseph, Margaret, Robert, Edward and Kathleen.
An Inurnment ceremony will be held 12:30 PM Sunday June 14, 2015 at the Croswell Cemetery Columbarium followed by a Celebration of Life luncheon from 1 - 4 PM at the Croswell American Legion.

Cathy we were so sorry to read this news tonight. So many of our happy memories are of times we spent with both of you.
