Jon E. Manos

Harsens Island

Jon E. Manos age 78 of Harsens Island, MI. peacefully passed away at his home August 26, 2014. He was born February 24, 1936 in Detroit, MI.

Jon owned and operated the Middle Channel Golf and Country Club on Harsens Island. He was a former Clay Twp., MI. Supervisor, having served for many years.

Mr. Manos is survived by his daughters Teresa (Joseph) Novosel, Christine Manos, and Anne V. (Greg) McArdle, grandchildren Jon Robert Novosel, Nicholas Rzeppa, Brady McArdle, and Paige McArdle, and a brother James A. Manos. He was predeceased by a brother Richard Manos.

Mr. Manos will be instate at 10:30 AM with Mass at 11:00 AM Saturday August 30, 2014 in the Our Lady On the River Parish St. Mark's Catholic Church, Harsens Island. Visitation 1-4 and 6-9 PM Friday in the Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac, MI. Memorial donations may be made to the Family Wishes.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Manos. I had the honor and privilege to sell Mr. Manos for the last 18 years. It was always a pleasure and joy to talk to him, he educated me in many ways through talk of work and life. He will be missed. God's Blessings, thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
