Lexington
June L. Reimel, age 94, a resident of Lexington, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2016, at Regency on the Lake in Fort Gratiot.
She was born on May 22, 1922, in Detroit, a daughter of the late Webster and Mabel (Winegardner) Schweitzer. June married Carl R. Reimel on February 22, 1947 in Detroit. He preceded her in death on January 29, 2007.
June was a homemaker, and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by a son Kurt Reimel of Port Sanilac and four daughters Pamela (Tim) Repp of Middlebury, IN., Julie (John) Sly of New Boston, Nancy (Pete) Jungquist of Avoca and Catherine (Dave) Vallee of Croswell. 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. A brother Michael (Beth) Schweitzer of Croswell.
Visitation will be from 3-8 P.M. on Thursday at the Pomeroy Funeral Home in Lexington. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday at the funeral home, with visiting from 10-11. Rev. Shirley Seely will officiate. Interment will follow in the Washington Cemetery.
Memorials in memory of June may be made to the Sanilac County Humane Society.
