Margaret (Meg) Mancini of Lapeer went to be with our Lord on June 18, 2013. Meg was born on June 25, 1962 to Owen and Patricia (Kavanagh) Kean in Emmett, Michigan. Meg was a 1980 graduate of Yale High School and 1984 graduate of Western Michigan University. The past several years she worked as a Substitute Teacher mainly at Lapeer West High School.

Meg married Richard Mancini on May 9, 1992. They have two children, Kaitlyn and Kyle. Meg took great pride in raising her children. She had a very out going personality and touched the lives of many people. She always offered words of encouragement and support.

Meg is survived by her Husband, Children, Parents, Sisters- Therese Kean (St. Clair), Lisa and Bill Fistler (Richmond), Sue Kean-Smith (Bay City), Eileen and Roger Wesch (Avoca) and Brother- William and Jeanie Kean (St. Clair), Father-in-Law Eugene Mancini (Port Huron); Brother and Sisters-in-law: Michael and Cyndy Mancini (Port Huron) and Kathy and John Mackey (Kenockee Twp.). She is also survived by several Nieces, Nephews, Uncles and Aunts.

Meg was preceded in death by her Grandparents- William and Edna Kean and Thomas and Agnes Kavanagh, Uncles- Thomas Kean, Thomas Baker, Donald Closser and Harry Zipperer, Mother-in-law Louise Mancini, Cousins Patrick Gleason, Jr. and Mark Baker.

Meg will have visitation 1-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday June 20th at Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Lapeer. The Rosary will be prayed 7:00 PM Thursday, at the funeral home.The family will receive friends 10:00-11:00 AM Friday at the church. Funeral Mass will be 11:00 AM Friday June 21, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Church in Lapeer, Father James Kean will officiate, with burial to follow in Mt. Loretto Cemetery in Lapeer.

Richard and family,

I just learned of Meg's passing today (August 24, 2017). We lived in the same dorm at Western and had lost touch over the years. I remember Meg for her quick smile, great sense of humor, and warmth!

Although I had not seen or heard from her since the 80's when we flew to the little grass strip in Yale to visit her parents, I was always imagined her laughing at some ridiculous joke.
