Marvin J. Hulett

Marvin J. Hulett Fort Gratiot Marvin J. Hulett, 83, passed away June 2, 2011 in Port Huron. He was born June 16, 1927 in Armada Twp. to Carl and Mabel (Sumner) Hulett. On July 2, 1949, he married Patricia Soye. Marvin was an active member of North St. U.M. Church and Men's Fellowship, and the Mich. Farm Bureau. He was a 2nd generation farmer with love for the land. Marvin loved gardening, bowling, hunting, fishing, playing cards, spending time with his family and baseball. When they won, his favorite teams were the Lions, Tigers and Spartans. Marvin is survived by his wife, Pat, of 62 years; two sons, David (Sonya) of Troy and Gary (Sandra) of Memphis; two daughters, Charlotte (Steve) Pierzynski of Richmond and Betty Behlmer of Ellsworth, KS; seven grandchildren, Jason (Pam), Mike (Heidi) and Aaron (Missy) Hulett, Jennifer (David) Pickelhaupt, Micha and Rebekah Stoutenburg and Josh Behlmer; eleven great-grandchildren; one step great-granddaughter; five sisters, Wilma (Elmer) Faust of Delton, Dawn (Verne) Summers of Dewitt, Joyce Gutchess of Aurora, MO, Evelyn (Glenn) Wegner of Battle Creek and Linda (David) Williaume of BC, Canada; and three brothers, Jim (Linda) of Bryon Center, Elwyn (Cynthia) of Portales, NM and Dwayne (Naomi) of Aurora, MO. Marvin is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Marion and her husband, Bill Boyd; and a brother-in-law, Jerry Gutchess. A "Celebration of His Life" service will take place on July 9th at 11a.m. at the North St. U. M. Church located at 4580 North Rd. in Clyde Township.
