Robert Kading Obituary

Robert C. Kading Fort Gratiot Mr. Robert Kading, 78, of Fort Gratiot, died unexpectedly at his home on Monday, February 9, 2009. He was born July 10, 1930 in Port Huron to the late Fred and Ida Kading. He married Joanne P. Cornelius on July 27, 1951 in Port Huron. Mr. Kading served in the U.S. Army and retired from the St. Clair City Road Commission in 1989. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his pets. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years, Joanne Kading. He is survived by two sons, Fred (Jackie) Kading of Lexington and Kurt (Tami) Kading of North Street; five grandchildren, Fred (Sarah) Kading, Heather Kerr, Josette (Joe) Fontaine, Travis Charles and Cody Kaufman; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Delores (Harold) Langolf. Visitation will be 1-4 and 6-9 p.m. Wednesday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2009 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Reverend Ryan Budde of Croswell Wesleyan Church will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jason Carrier, Joe Fontaine, Travis Charles, Cody Kaufman, Stephen Langolf, John Abbott and Tim Langolf.
