Ruth Stamman Obituary

Ruth Stamman Capac Ruth Stamman, 90, died Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at St. John River District Hospital. She was born May 4, 1921 in Utica, Michigan. A daughter of Sidney and Anna Engle. Ruth served her country in the U.S. Army WAC (Women Army Corp) during WWII. She spent 18 months overseas in Europe as a Communications Specialist in the 423rd Signal Corp. She was married to Morris Frank Stamman on October 16, 1954. He died in 1982. Surviving are daughter: Annette Stamman-Fernandez of Algonac; grandson: Tyler David Fernandez of Algonac; brother: Harry Engle of FL. Funeral service 2:30p.m. Sunday at the Zion Community Church, Capac. Visiting: 2-5 and 6-8p.m. Saturday at the funeral home and 1:30-2:30 p.m. Sunday at the church. Arrangements by Muir Brothers Funeral Home- Imlay City.
