I met Jake last summer as the Rec Program swim coach and helped him distribute tee shirts and goggles. I had the privilege to talk with him a few times and found a intelligent, caring, organized young man with a bright future. He was involved with so many things and touched so many lives. The world lost a wonderful soul on Monday, prayers to his family and friends for love and comfort.

Jake's music was so beautiful!!! The world should have heard him play the flute. It was a gift to have heard him play. My daughter and my family will miss him. He was an extraordinary person.

I have heard so many wonderful stories about Jake. He is smart, loving, and cares about others. He volunteered, like my sister and I, at The Salvation Army Toys and Food distribution 2 years ago. My sister said so many wonderful things about Jake. He helped with any task asked of him that day (carrying heavy items, moving supplies, etc....). He was a great help to this organization as I suspect he was towards his family and friends. My deepest sympathies to all the family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Jake will be a wonderful guardian angel to you all.

To Jake's family: We never met Jake or any of you... but hearing this and being from Marysville and living there most of our life it touched our hearts. Myself and my daughters prayers go out to you. From things we read and have heard from friends I believe Jake was an wonderful young man and I know he will be missed very much by family and all his friends at the high school and in his community.
