Thelma Gertrude Cole

Mrs. Thelma Gertrude (Perry) Cole Fort Gratiot Mrs. Thelma Gertrude (Perry) Cole, 101, of Fort Gratiot, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 26, 2009. She was born May 9, 1908 in Buel Township to the late William and Gertrude Perry. She married Laurence D. Cole on July 6, 1933 in Croswell. He died January 31, 2000. Mrs. Cole was a deeply devoted wife and loving mother to her children and family. She was a life-long member of the North Lakeport Wesleyan Church. She is survived by two daughters, Carole (Jack) Fueslein of Charlotte and Sharon (Sherwood) Palmateer of Fort Gratiot; four grandsons, Duane (Cecilia) Fueslein of Detroit, Donald Fueslein of Charlotte, Shane (Sharon) Palmateer of North Street and Stephen (Shelly) Green of Clyde; five granddaughters, Diane Fueslein of Beverley Hills, Shawna Soule of Clyde, Melody (Brad) Cole of Traverse City, Marlene (Joel) Heron of Greenville and Carlene (Dustin) Beals of Topeka, Kansas; sixteen great grandchildren; a sister, Gladys Dafoe of Phoenix, Arizona and a brother-in-law, Eldon (Mildred) Palmateer of Florida. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Laurence Cole Green, and a granddaughter, Melinda K. Green. Visitation will be held from 3-8 p.m. Monday in the Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 29, 2009 in North Lakeport Wesleyan Church with an hour of visitation prior to service. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron.
