Port Huron Township
Thomas Cherry, 71, of Port Huron Township, died unexpectedly Saturday, May 2, 2015.
He was born July 18, 1943 in Hamtramck to the late Stanley and Helen Cherry. He married Michelle Lippert on April 10, 1965 in Mt. Clemens.
Tom worked as a truck driver and as a dispatcher for the St. Clair County Council on Aging. He enjoyed playing Euchre and Poker, belonged to a classic car club, and liked camping and fishing.
Tom is survived by his wife of 50 years, Michelle; two sons, Joseph Cherry (Denis Paul) and Marc Cherry; a sister, Joanna Michowski; two brothers, Stanley (Susan) Wisniewski and Edward (Marge) Cherry; four sisters-in-law, Marie Wisniewski, and Gabra, Tambri, and Gloria; a brother-in-law, Chet; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Marianne Schmanski; and two brothers, Peter Wisniewski and James Cherry.
Memorial services will be held near Tom's birthday this summer.
