We even remember your adorable Great Dane Brutus too. My mother and nurse working at Alamance County Hospital and Knapp, Elizabeth Mebane, passed in 2010 and we also lost my brothers Rick and Herbert. Jane , Beth and Bob , I was very sad to hear that Charlie has passed ! All I can think of is " What a guy " he was such a big influence on me and my life and he was always a loyal friend and great mentor by his example while being so much fun to be around ! I have so many memories of the Captain all of which end with a big grin or outright laugh . Two days ago , I was telling a group of people one of the Captain's stories which was followed by great laughter . While this is a sad event , I feel very lucky to have been able to know and learn so much from such a special and great guy !! Our thoughts are with you all at this time !
