Clara Gibson Obituary
She was born in Alamance County to the late Brodie W. and Rosa Spoon Terrell. She was married to Gene W. Gibson, Sr. who preceded her in death in 2011.
Clara graduated from Walter M. Williams High School and married Gene, the love of her life, two weeks later. They were married for 64 years. She was a long time member of Grove Park Baptist Church and was a charter member of the May-Lee Friendship Club, which formed in 1952 and is still active today. She was devoted to her family, and they to her. Her generosity, love, support, sense of humor and good spirit was an inspiration to everyone she knew.
She is survived by her daughter, Jean (Steve) Gibson-Miani; her sons, Gene Gibson, Jr. and Chris Gibson; grandchildren, Cameron and Callie Walker, Chad Gibson (Peggy), Jared (Jennifer) Gibson and Kyle Clemmons; 6 great-grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren and seven step great-grandchildren; brother, Carlton Terrell (Gwen) and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, her brother Brodie W. Terrell, Jr.; her sisters Audrey McIver, Betty Church, Mary Overman, Judy Winstead and Brenda Keck.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, June 30, 2018, at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Reverend David Morton. The family will receive friends from 10-10:45 prior to the service.
A special thanks to Transitions Life Care (Hospice) aide Cornelia, who attended to Mama with such gentle care and compassion.

My Mother, Audrey would often call me by her dear sister's name Clara. I was always honored. Family she wii be missed.
