Gerald D. “Butch” Holland Jr. Obituary
A native of Rockingham County, he was the son of Gerald Douglas Holland, Sr. and Margaret Hall Holland, who survive. He formerly worked as an auto mechanic building transmissions.
In addition to his father of Burlington and mother of Reno, NV, survivors include his companion, Cheryl W. Davis with whom he made his home; daughter, Julie Howell Gragg of Lenoir; half-sisters, Chrystal Terry, Kathy Vestal and Debbie Wolfe; and two grandchildren, Madelyn Gragg and Cooper Gragg, both of Lenoir.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. by Rev. Joe "Bulldog" Edwards with the family receiving friends from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, Memorial Processing Center, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058-5216.

Butch we go way back. You have always been an awesome friend and I will miss you. I am so glad you came to the salon a few weeks ago to give me a hug after Todd died. Old Pal we some crazy things in our life That are planted in my mind and heart. We partied every time we where together not worrying about the consequences and with no regrets.No matter whether it be Idol Hour,Otherside,Ramada Inn, Best Western,JR's,Casablanca,French Quarter,Marbles, Townhall-Where ever we would end up we would always had fun times and lived in the moment.
