Phillip “Ray” Riddle Jr. Obituary

BURLINGTON - Phillip Ray Riddle Jr., 58, of Castle Hayne, N.C., passed away Friday, August 13, 2010, at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
Ray was born March 3, 1952, in Sanford, N.C. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Ray was a loving son, husband, brother, father, and grandfather "Papa". He was an auto technician for more than 25 years. He loved the beach, bowling and being with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Tina Riddle, of the home; children, Michael Riddle (Susie) and Shane Riddle, all of Castle Hayne, and Robin Barfield (Billy) and Amanda Beavers, all of Wilmington; five grandchildren, Madison, Brandon, Hunter, Hannah and Elijah; mother, Myrtle Walker (Clarence) of Burlington,; brother, Jimmy Riddle (Jamey) of Greensboro; and numerous nieces and nephews. His father, Michael Odell Walker, preceded him in death.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 17, 2010, at Andrews Market Street Chapel. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Randy Speight officiating. The interment will follow at Oleander Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ray's name may be made to American Heart Association, Memorial Processing Center, P. O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058-5216.
